Application Note: Transfer Toolbox For Matlab For SMU200A,SMJ100A And SMATE200A
The R&S MATLAB® Toolkit for Signal Generators and Power Sensors provides routines for remote controlling these instruments. Additional MATLAB® scripts turn I/Q vectors into the Rohde & Schwarz waveform file format for use with an ARB. This application note describes the installation and use of the R&S MATLAB® Toolkit on Microsoft Widows and Linux based systems.
MATLAB is widely used for the simulation of communication systems as well as for the creation or analysis of custom signals. The MATLAB Toolkit provides functions that link the Rohde & Schwarz instruments to the MATLAB environment. For this purpose the toolkit contains scripts for the most common tasks, such as instrument remote control and data transfer. A set of example scripts demonstrate the use of the toolkit functions in various applications. The toolkit supports the instrument remote control via GPIB hardware, raw TCP/IP socket connections, or the VISA (Virtual Instrument Software Architecture) interface.
