Comercia to provide financial services products over ANX network

September 22, 2000

First Financial Service Institution on Multi-Industry eBusiness Network

ANXeBusiness Corporation announced today that Comerica Incorporated (NYSE: CMA), a multi-state financial services provider headquartered in Detroit, will offer a broad spectrum of financial services products over the ANX network and ANX Web portal.

The ANX network provides a managed, secure and reliable eBusiness environment for businesses in a wide variety of industries. Comerica will be the first financial services institution offering ANX-based financial services to ANX trading partners, including balance reporting, file transfer and transaction initiation services. Both ANXeBusiness Corp and Comerica expect that the ANX network's reliability, security and cost-effectiveness will make Comerica's financial services an important sector of the overall ANX network.

"Just as financial services are an integral component of traditional business endeavors, the financial services provided by Comerica to ANX trading partners will become an integral part of the ANX eBusiness network," said ANXeBusiness Corp Chief Executive Officer Alexander J. Preston. "We are extremely pleased to provide financial services functionality to our trading partners as part of our ongoing mission to create and maintain a full-featured eBusiness environment."

While Comerica may be new to the ANX network, it needs no introduction to the majority of ANX trading partners. Approximately 70 percent of existing ANX trading partners already have a relationship with Comerica. "Comerica is dedicated to providing comprehensive service to its business clients, and the ANX network is a logical channel for us to provide state-of-the-art service to existing and new clients," said Daniel J. McCarty, senior vice president and officer-in-charge of Treasury Management Services for Comerica. "The security, reliability and wide implementation of the ANX network make it a logical channel for Comerica to deliver financial services."

ANX Service operates independently of the public Internet while using the same industry standard TCP/IP communication protocols. Its unique architecture gives companies a choice of providers for all core services and assures interoperability, replacing complex legacy networks and facilitating the re-engineering of supply chains. The ANX network serves hundreds of subscribers across multiple industries in the United States and Canada, including major rubber manufacturers, steel companies, railroads, trucking companies, and health care organizations.
