The Dynamics Department can perform vibration, shock and acceleration testing
The Dynamics Department can perform vibration, shock and acceleration testing. This testing can be performed individually, or in combination with a high rate of change temperature cycling, vacuum, pressure and hydraulic/pneumatic flow. Testing features include: Full complement of facilities for vibration, shock and acceleration testing
Centralized vibration computer control and data acquisition area
Over a dozen electrodynamic exciter systems with digital controllers and high/temp, low/temp and humidity capabilities
Capability up to 19,000 force lb. and up to two-in. displacement
Lightweight Hammer Shock (901) facility approved by Naval Sea Systems Command
Centrifuge facility with hydraulic coupler and 48 slip ring channels
Vertical free-fall shock capabilities up to 1,000 in./sec
Pyrotechnic and classical shock simulations in excess of 10,000gs
Operational support of test item (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc.)
Strain, displacement, and force measurement recording availability
6 x 8ft., 3000# capacity inclination test facility

Multichannel vibration control and multichannel shock data capture
Fast Fourier Transform, Shock Response Spectrum and Modal Analysis available as on-site engineering diagnostic tools.
