GARWOOD LABORATORIES, INC. ANNOUNCES A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH TUV Rheinland
Pico Rivera, CA- May 2000 - Garwood Laboratories is pleased to announce that it has entered into a cooperative agreement with TUV Rheinland of North America (TUVRNA). This alliance will allow the two companies to provide a wider range of testing, consulting, equipment evaluation, and certification services. TUVRNA is the American subsidiary of one the world's largest European Testing and Certification organization. TUVRNA specializes in evaluation and certification of technical equipment and systems. Garwood is a leading testing laboratory providing one-stop engineering-driven solutions to customers testing and analysis needs.
Both companies will co-operate in testing and consulting services to their clients worldwide. Garwood and TUV will be able to provide complete safety, EMC, environmental, mechanical, reliability and ergonomic testing, evaluation and certification of product and equipment. These services will include testing and evaluating equipment for compliance to European or UL standards and to the requirements of European Directives for Electromagnetic Compatibility (89/336/EEC), Low Voltage (73/23/EEC), Machinery (98/37/EC), Medical devices (93/42/EEC), Telecommunication terminal equipment (91/263/EEC) and General Pressure Equipment (97/23/EC). Technical consulting, evaluation and certification to European or UL standards will also be available.
This agreement expands Garwood Laboratories, Inc.'s capabilities in our continuing effort to satisfy and meet our customer's needs. Garwood Laboratories has provided state-of-the-art, on time, testing services to the aerospace, military, and commercial industries worldwide since 1954. Testing services at the Pico Rivera facility include NEBS compliance, climatics, vibration, shock, acceleration, EMI/EMC, hydraulics/pneumatics, space simulation, automotive and package testing. Product testing services include: environmental testing, thermal scan, power cycling, voltage margining, lightning strike/surge testing and analysis, mechanical shock, random and sine vibration. Garwood Labs' Pico Rivera facility is fully accredited by A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation) and the quality system is ISO 9002 registered.
Garwood's World Compliance Division specializes in worldwide compliance, providing both EMC and Product Safety Testing to meet domestic and international standards. This facility is NVLAP accredited to the CISPR, FCC & AUSTEL Technical Standards for testing products for EMC compliance, VCCI of Japan, Interference Tech International (UK Competent Body), BCIQ (BSMI), and Industry Canada. EMC testing services include FCC, "CE" Mark, VCCI, C-Tick, and FDA Certifications. Product Safety evaluations provide certification for UL/cUL, CSA/CSA-NRTL, TUV and CE for the low voltage directive.
