The VXIbus optical switching cards cover broadband from DC, audio, RF, T1, and microwave through optical. This suite of eight, C-size, optical switch modules is available in both single and double-slot widths and consist of the 1260-84A/B, 1x4 models and the 1260-88A/B, 1x8 models. All modules in the 1260-84/88 switching card range feature diffraction-limited collimating lenses for enhanced thermal stability and repeatability. Providing insertion losses of 0.6 dB typical, repeatability for sequential switching of +/-0.01 dB and typical isolation of 90dB, the broadband test architecture addresses teh problems of acculmulated losses and repeatability through arrays of multiple switch paths. The cards are suitable for use on single-mode optical fiber systems and applicable to other fiber types on request. The modules cover a wavelength range of 1290-1570 nanometers.
