Andor Design Corp was established in 1973 as a consulting business for Design and Development of Computer based Facsimile and Communication products. From 1982 to 1988 Andor design Corp was involved in the design of MIL-STD-1553 equipment and for some of the major corporations in this field.

In 1988 Andor Design Corp started design and manufacturing its own products. The primary objective of the company was to market high performance low cost MIL-STD-1553 Test Instruments. In 1989 the company introduced, a PC based Mil-Std-1553 Serial Bus Analyzer tester packaged on a single card. This unit received the product of the year award by Military and Aerospace Magazine.
