AM Communications and Wavetek Wandel Goltermann Announce Agreement for Unified Test, Measurement and Management Solutions

Wavetek Wandel Goltermann (WWG) and AM Communications announced a strategic relationship to integrate features and functions of each company's products. This relationship was created to provide more seamless integration of network management and maintenance components for cable network operators. This alliance relationship provides users with increased flexibility and confidence in deploying management and maintenance solutions.

The first initiative will focus on the integration of WWG's PathTrak Return Path Monitoring System with AM's OmniStat Network Management System at the alarm, database, and graphical user interface (GUI) levels. In addition, the two companies are committed to defining new solutions to distribute network status and performance information acquired from AM's OmniStat and Omni2000 Ingress Manager to field technicians using WWG's family of portable test instruments.

"This relationship will help us both deliver more broad, effective solutions to the market faster than independent systems since each vendor can focus on their individual strengths,'' said Kevin Oliver, Strategic Marketing Manager at WWG.
