Expanded Functions for Intuitive Test Sequence Creation and Multi-Channel Evaluation

Anritsu Corporation announces the release of an enhanced Sequence Editor feature for its high-performance Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT), the Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A. This enhancement supports intuitive GUI-based creation of test sequences for abnormal and stress conditions, facilitating efficient evaluation of PCI Express 6.0 (PCIe 6.0) devices. It allows engineers to isolate physical and logical-layer errors in high-speed transmission environments. The updated Sequence Editor also supports multi-channel evaluation for simultaneous testing across multiple lanes. These capabilities contribute to realistic test environments and help improve the efficiency of design and validation workflows, ultimately enhancing product quality.

Background
With PCIe 6.0 reaching transmission speeds of 64 GT/s, signal evaluation and fault identification have become increasingly complex. As compliance testing for electrical performance approaches, the need for test solutions that balance precision and speed is growing. The enhanced Sequence Editor not only supports standard compliance testing but also enables intuitive GUI-based creation and execution of abnormal and stress test sequences. This helps prevent rework and improves validation efficiency. In addition, the solution supports multi-channel evaluation, enabling simultaneous testing of multiple PCIe lanes and allows for more realistic test environments. Moreover, multi-lane simultaneous testing and Link Training Status State Machine (LTSSM) log analysis supports realistic scenario reproduction, efficient fault analysis, and higher validation accuracy.
