Aptasic Chooses Credence Diamond 10 For Mixed-Signal IC Testing
Milpitas, CA - Credence Systems Corporation, a provider of test solutions for the worldwide consumer semiconductor industry, announced recently that Aptasic S.A. in Boudry, Switzerland, has selected the Diamond 10 platform from Credence to test mixed-signal ICs and expand their analog and digital test capabilities. Aptasic SA specializes in the supply chain management and the testing of analog or mixed-signal ASICs, in small, medium or large quantities.
The Diamond 10 is ideal for testing a broad range of consumer and industrial IC devices in a very cost-sensitive environment. Its small footprint and low power consumption make the Diamond 10 ideal for use in the lab or cleanroom environments. Aptasic will leverage the platform's flexible, scalable capabilities with a range of instrumentation that includes the MultiWave, the industry's value standard for mixed-signal testing. The highly integrated MultiWave combines analog source and capture capability for testing audio, video, baseband and automotive devices. With four channels of analog source and four channels of analog capture on each instrument, MultiWave is ideal for multisite and concurrent testing, which can significantly lower the cost of test.
Jean-Luc Cochard, General Manager of Aptasic, said, "We selected the D10 for its size, flexibility, scalability and low cost-of-test, which enables us to serve our existing and expanding customer base with the best quality and most accurate test services. These capabilities will increase our ability to take a leadership position in the European test space."
Amir Aghdaei, Senior Vice President of Field Operations and Marketing for Credence, said, "We are excited to work with Aptasic to help them to accomplish their goals of increasing their competitiveness in the European test house space. The D10 will enable Aptasic to deliver tremendous cost of test benefits to their customers, with a high degree of reliability and repeatability."
