Automating Signal Integrity Verification
The Proteus Twin Probe Head (TPH) automates the capture of high-speed digital design measurement information for early analysis of signal integrity issues. The TPH is used with the Probestar DVT-100 robotic autoprober to achieve improved board performance, and accelerated time-to-market.
The TPH automates the signal integrity validation process. It eliminates the inefficiencies and inaccuracies inherent with manual board probing operations. The TPH is mounted on a Probestar DVT-100 robot and provides an accurate method to probe system and board level prototypes where measurements are affected by long ground leads.
The TPH features active FET, differential, and TDR probe styles, low impedance probe ground path, remotely controlled probing activity, CAD database for defining probing points, and probe placement accuracy of +/- 0.001 in.
