BNC Connector Filters

A capacitively decoupled BNC connector is available from Spectrum Control to decouple EMI on the coaxial shield through the capacitor to chassis ground, without influencing the signal terminations

A capacitively decoupled BNC connector is available from Spectrum Control to decouple EMI on the coaxial shield through the capacitor to chassis ground, without influencing the signal terminations. The connector offers the same RF characteristics as non-filtered BNC connectors and can be utilized as a direct replacement for standard BNC connectors.

The connectors offer a capacitance of 10,000 pF ±205, a voltage rating of 500 VDC, and a current rating of 3 A. They filter frequencies from 1 MHz to 3 GHz with both source and load impedances of 50 W. The dielectric withstanding voltage is 1,000 V DC for 5 s. Applications include telecommunications equipment, LAN networks, signal distribution systems, test and measurement equipment, and EMI/RFI sensitive electronics.
