Catapult Communications Provides Telecom Test Equipment to Motorola

Catapult Communications (Mountain View, CA), a provider of software-based test systems to the telecom industry, announced the renewal of a global purchasing agreement with Motorola. The agreement specifies that Catapult will provide its Digital Communications Test System, DCT-S, a programmable, multi-protocol system to Motorola's development and test departments.

Catapult test systems simulate an expanding list of protocols that currently include: ATM, GSM, CDMA, GPRS, H.323, MGCP, IS-41, ISDN, PDC, PCS, Intelligent Networks, Signalling System No. 7, X.25, V5 and other protocols.

Catapult's DCT-S, which supports over 115 protocols and variants, is a comprehensive test solution designed to enable equipment manufacturers and network operators to deliver complex digital equipment and services more quickly and cost-effectively, while helping to ensure interoperability and reliability.
