CD power supplies, XT series, specialty tranformers, voltage regulators, control circuitry
Founded in 1943 to develop and produce specialty transformers and 400 Hz regulators for airborne use, Sorensen was the first commercial firm to manufacture and market precision electronic voltage regulators and power supplies.

Development of a 400 Hz AC voltage regulator product line ultimately led to the design of Sorensen's dc products. This reliable control circuitry was first adapted for a family of low-voltage, high current dc power supplies. Sorensen then broadened its product offering, primarily in the area of ac to dc power supplies.

Over the years, Sorensen's focus has been manual and programmable dc sources for benchtop and automated test equipment applications. The company offers custom products and modified standard products as well as its off-the-shelf power systems
