CDMA Industry Adopts TAS Automatic Test Solution
Leading companies in the CDMA development industry have selected the TAS CDMA Automatic Test System (CDMA-ATS) to evaluate their development efforts. Bell Atlantic Mobile, Ameritech, Lucent, Telechoice, Qualcomm, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, Motorola, NEC, LSI and Ericsson are among those who have chosen Telecom Analysis Systems' CDMA-ATS for their wireless testing needs. TAS CDMA-ATS, first introduced in August 1997, is the first comprehensive hardware/software solution for Code Division Multiple Access wireless telephone testing.
TAS CDMA-ATS automatically tests cellular and PCS phones for adherence to CDMA performance standards. This speeds development and deployment of CDMA mobile phones, allowing manufacturers and service providers to deliver a quality product to market in a shorter time. CDMA-ATS, which is based on TAS' CDMA-LAB instrument system and TASKIT/CDMA software for Windows '95 and Windows T based computers, provides a stable CDMA test solution that is easy to set up, maintain and enhance. A new feature, called automatic performance characterization (APC), extends CDMA-ATS' test capabilities beyond the performance requirements specified by IS-98A and J-STD-018 by providing the capability to quickly seek and identify the performance limits of mobiles under a variety of RF channel conditions.
