Communications Platforms Trade Association Teams With Polaris Networks To Develop ATCA-Tester
Beaverton, OR - The Communications Platforms Trade Associations (CP-TA) announced recently that Polaris Networks has taken the lead from ESO Technologies to continue development of the ATCA-Tester. The ATCA-Tester serves as the IPMI Manageability Test Tool for CP-TA's certification test suite. Polaris has also joined CP-TA as a contributor member.
"We are excited to have Polaris on board," said Marwan Khoury, CP-TA Vice Chairman. "They have a proven track record in developing test tools and are well-equipped to help CP-TA address interoperability for AdvancedTCA manageability. The ATCA-Tester also meets the manageability requirements, as laid out in our Interoperability Compliance Document and Test Procedure Manual."
The ATCA-Tester is an automated software tool for testing the hardware management software implementation in AdvancedTCA and AMC based building-blocks or systems. Polaris Networks will be responsible for sale, support and further development of the product.
"Since our inception in 2003, we have focused on developing test and certification tools for new networking technologies," said Bud Biswas, Polaris President. "We have developed and marketed a variety of test tools for industry alliances and technologies such as WiMAX, EPCGlobal (RFID) and WiFi. As a contributing member, we can share our expertise and test system development experience with CP-TA in its interoperability testing and certification program, not only for AdvancedTCA, but for AMC and MicroTCA testing as well."
Members of CP-TA will receive a discount on the ATCA-Tester.
