Complete Imaging System

General Micro Systems, Inc. has introduced an imaging system, complete with CPU, visioning board, camera and imaging software and tools. The heart of the system is a dual-Pentium processor, board level computer, model V254 from GMS.
This is a two board set, the CPU/PMC module and the I/O module, designed for the VME bus. The I/O module has the graphics, 10/100 base-T, ultra-wide SCSI, VME interface and PC legacy to provide full user interface. The CPU module consists of two 200MHz pentiums, four 72-pin standard SIMM memory modules, and two PMC slots, that accept a special GMS module. This module allows any of the hundreds of advanced off-the-shelf I/O modules on the PCI to be plugged into the VME board.
One of these advanced I/O applications is the visioning system. A Matrox "Pulsar" visioning board was added to the VME254. The Pulsar board provides the user with up to four camera inputs, 40MHz digitization and ultra-high resolution graphics output.
