Digital Technology, RADCOM Collaborate On WAN Test Tools
Digital Technology Inc. (DTI), a developer of ATM test solutions and RADCOM Ltd., a provider of internetwork testing equipment, announced their intention to collaborate in offering a new series of wide area network (WAN) test tools. The new products, which use advanced technology components from both companies, will initially provide conformance testing for Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) networking protocols as well as test tools for WAN technologies.
Under the terms of the agreement, which the parties intend to finalize over the next few weeks, RADCOM will assume sales and marketing responsibility for current and future protocol conformance products from DTI. DTI will continue to sell and support its products in the U.S. and Canada while further enhancing these tools with RADCOM technology. In addition, DTI will integrate its existing protocol analysis technology with key RADCOM components, jointly creating a new product for WAN analysis. The first integrated product is slated for shipment in September 1998.
