Electromagnetic Field and RF Signal Meters

The EM Eye Electromagnetic Field Strength and RF Signal Meter, Models CTM041 and CTM045 are portable, self-contained, battery operated, broadband directional field strength meters that can locate emission sources, as well as measure RF signals. The meters measure broadband signals from 2 MHz to 2 GHz and are sensitive to 10 mV/m. They feature average, peak and quasi-peak (per CISPR16) detectors, allowing measurements of CW, TDMA, CDMA, transients, and ESD events.

The meters feature a detachable thumb-sized broadband directional antenna that points to the source of emission with the help of the built-in laser pointer. The directional antenna reduces measurement errors contributed by reflections and ambient noise. The antenna can be removed, revealing a connector to allow RF signal measurements and use of a variety of antennae.

The meters also feature a multifunctional backlit LCD display that shows simultaneously linear and logarithmic values of signal strength and real-time lin/log bar graph with zoom. They can measure power density, amplitude modulation and signal power. The built-in frequency counter displays the dominant frequency of the signal or field.
