Telecom Analysis Systems Inc. (TAS) introduced the TAS Digital Facility Emulation (DFE) module

Telecom Analysis Systems Inc. (TAS) introduced the TAS Digital Facility Emulation (DFE) module (Version 2.0) for its Series II Plus Telephone Network Emulator. Series II Plus and DFE provide a test bench for communications devices that connect to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

Series II Plus and DFE emulate a PSTN connection between a digital communications device and an analog communications device. DFE supports several digital interfaces, including T1, E1, and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Rate Interface (BRI), and a standard analog PSTN interface. DFE also supports a Time Division Multiplexed interface that is Multi-Vendor Integration Protocol compatible. DFE emulates digital pad loss, robbed bit signaling, line card characteristics and other critical PSTN impairments.
