ETS-Lindgren And Rohde & Schwarz Partner To Offer OTA Testing Solutions For Nextgen Wireless Technologies

ETS-Lindgren and Rohde & Schwarz continue their long-standing partnership to deliver comprehensive over-the-air (OTA) Testing Solutions for next generation wireless technologies. ETS-Lindgren has integrated the Rohde & Schwarz CMX500 one-box signaling tester and R&S SMBV100B vector signal generator into its EMQuest Software. This collaboration supports the latest standards, including 5G FR1, 5G FR2, Wi-Fi 7, and A-GNSS.

For decades, ETS-Lindgren's Antenna Measurement System (AMS) anechoic chamber technology has delivered a wide-ranging solution for making compliant OTA performance measurements. The system is ideally suited for the automated measurements of antenna performance of wireless devices and devices with embedded wireless functions as well as traditional antenna pattern measurements for passive antennas.

Together — ETS-Lindgren AMS anechoic chambers and EMQuest Software, along with Rohde & Schwarz instrumentation — create powerful turnkey solutions that allow customers to keep pace with the latest advancements in wireless technology. These integrated solutions are CTIA certified for 4G and 5G FR1 and support both SISO and MIMO. Carrier aggregation across hundreds of channels and bands is available for 4G and 5G carrier combinations. Additional technologies, such as Wi-Fi up to version 7, Bluetooth, narrowband NTN, and REDCap are fully supported using ETS-Lindgren’s EMQuest Software and Rohde & Schwarz instrumentation.

James Young, Director of Wireless Solutions with ETS-Lindgren, said, “The technology reach afforded by the CMX500 is industry-leading. It is truly converging toward a one-box test for nearly all wireless protocols. This adds valuable peace-of-mind for our customers; they know that if the R&S instrumentation supports a certain protocol or technology, it can be added as a test option for the overall system. Technology upgrades extend the life and enhance the return on the initial system investment.”

Christoph Pointer, Senior Vice President of Mobile Radio Tester with Rohde & Schwarz, added, “By integrating the CMX500 and R&S SMBV100B with ETS-Lindgren’s flexible OTA systems, we enable customers to stay at the forefront of technology development and prepare for the next generation of wireless technologies. Together, we deliver an upgradeable solution that supports 4G, 5G, A-GNSS, Wi-Fi 7 and other new and emerging technologies that are increasingly crucial for our customers.” For more information on the CMX500 from Rohde & Schwarz, visit: https://www.rohde-schwarz.com/_63493-601282.html.
