Fire & Ice QX Supports Synopsys' Primetime for Static Timing Analysis
Simplex Solutions (Sunnyvale, CA) announced that it has added static timing analysis support for Synopsys' PrimeTime tool to its new Fire & Ice QX 3D extraction tool for place & route flows. Fire & Ice QX includes a DSPF/SPEF interface that outputs files directly for use in the PrimeTime product for static timing verification of ultra deep submicron ASIC/ASSPs and SOCs. As a member of the Synopsys in-Sync program, Simplex has tested the new interface and certified its operation with the PrimeTime tool in a typical physical design and verification flow.
Synopsys' PrimeTime tool is for pre- and post-layout static timing verification and sign-off of SOC and cell-based designs. Fire & Ice QX combined with PrimeTime's built-in delay calculator and support of standard formats, enable customers to analyze 3D extraction data in the place & route cycle.
