Fluke Corporation Announces Corporate Officer and President
Mr. Gross joins Fluke, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danaher Corp., from Xycom Automation Inc., a leading supplier of industrial computers and software to the factory automation market, where he was president & CEO. Prior to joining Xycom in 1998, Mr. Gross spent twenty years with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. Mr. Gross joined Allen-Bradley in 1977 as an application engineer and progressed though more responsible sales management assignments before being appointed director of Strategic Relations in 1986, and director of Marketing, Intelligent Sensing Division in 1987. In 1990 Mr. Gross was appointed director, Small Logic Controllers, and vice president, Motion Control in 1992. Under Mr. Gross's leadership, the Motion Control Business achieved a 40% compound annual growth rate resulting in five-fold growth globally during his five-year tenure. In 1997, Mr. Gross was promoted to vice president, Operator Interface Business and Rockwell Software with P&L responsibility for Rockwell's information oriented businesses, before joining Xycom in 1998. Mr. Gross earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1976 from the University of Wisconsin.
