Genoa Announces First Concurrency Test for Multifunction Peripherals
Genoa Technology (Bellevue, WA) announced a test for multifunction peripheral (MFP) operation concurrency. The MFP Concurrency Test System simplifies the process of determining if an MFP can perform multiple functions at the same time. For instance, can the MFP receive a fax while printing, or scan a document while sending a fax? Genoa's new test system isolates concurrent operation problems during the MFP product development cycle.
Genoa's MFP Concurrency Test System uses scripts to drive the MFP device through different function states, varying time and function parameters to test multifunction concurrency. The MFP Concurrency Test also checks MFP functions while an error condition is occurring, such as receiving a fax while a cover is open on the device.
The MFP Concurrency Test consists of the MFP Test Wizard, which lets test engineers create their own test scenarios, and the MFP Test Project, which provides an advanced starting point for concurrency testing. The MFP Concurrency Test is available at a cost of $2,500. Genoa also provides consulting services to develop custom test scenarios. The cost of the MFP
Concurrency Test with consulting services is $6,500.
