GL Announces New Handheld Data And BERT Testers

Gaithersburg, MD - GL Communications Inc, announced recently the release of new sophisticated bit error rate testers in a compact, hand held package. In a statement to the press, Mr. Rob Bichefsky, Senior Product Manager, of the company said, "GL's new compact and hand-held units can test a wide variety of communications facilities and equipments.

The LinkTest Single unit can test Asynchronous, Synchronous, T1, Fractional T1, E1, Fractional E1, modems, multiplexers, CSU/DSUs, T1 ESF CSUs, DU, NTUs and TIUs. The unit is supplied with V.35, RS232, RS422/RS530, X.21, DS1 (T1, 1.544 Mbps) and G.703 (E1, 2.048 Mbps) interfaces, and it also supplied with a wall-mounted AC transformer.

The LinkTest Single+ unit adds the T3 and E3 testing capability.

The LinkTest DUAL unit adds dual interface testing capability."
