Bohemia NY - North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has announced the availability of a high-accuracy version of its industry standard instrument. The 8810AH synchro/resolver angle measurement instrument provides fully-independent dual-inputs, high-resolution touch screen controls, 0.0001º resolution, 0.0015º accuracy and auto-ranging inputs. The standard 8810A provides 0.004º accuracy. The unit also offers an optional 2.2 VA reference supply, LXI compatibility, 47 Hz to 20 KHz operating frequency, auto-phase correction, and interface compatibility with Ethernet, USB, IEEE-488, and parallel ports.

The 8810AH is a full-function instrument capable of performing most synchro/resolver evaluation, calibration and test functions on components, assemblies and systems. It automatically accepts and displays input voltages from 1.0 to 90 VL-L and Reference voltages from 2 to 115 Vrms over a broad frequency range of 47 Hz to 20 KHz. The use of an intelligent DSP design eliminates push buttons and allows all manual programming to be done either via an integrated touch-screen or a mouse interface.

The 8810AH can be set up to measure two independent angle inputs and display them individually or as a difference angle -- or it can measure multi-speed Synchros or Resolvers. The gear ratio for the two-speed mode is programmable from 2:1 to 255:1. The display can be set for one of three display modes; 0-360º, ±180°, or degrees, minutes, seconds. The unit is self-calibrating and annual verification can be done in the field.

The 8810AH is CE compliant. It is available with an operating temperature range of 0°C to +50°C. Its power supply requirement is 85 Vrms to 265 Vrms, 47 to 440 Hz. Deliveries start at 8 weeks ARO.

"The 8810AH gives our customers a very high accuracy, dual-channel, programmable, synchro/resolver angle measurement instrument in an industry standard configuration," said Lino Massafra, VP of Sales and Marketing at NAI. "They particularly like its high accuracy and resolution, touch panel controls, and internal reference generator."
