High-Voltage Switches

Racal Instruments, Inc.voltage switch plug-ins for the Adapt-a-Switch platform are available. These plug-ins permit end-users and system integrators to integrate hipot and cable breakdown testing into VXI-bus-based test systems. Capable of switching up to 500 V and 10 W, the 1260-136B is a reed relay plug-in. Specifically designed for switching voltages up to 1,000 V and 25 W, the 1260-136C is also a reed relay plug-in. A mercury-wetted plug-in, the 1260-136D card is capable of switching voltages up to 500 V and 50 W. Each of these plug-ins can be configured under program control as a single1x21 two-wire switch, a single 1x42 one-wire switch, or two 1x21 one wire-switches. Switch users can install up to six plug-ins from the company switch line into a two-slot carrier module.
