Honeywell-Measurex Control Applications With LabVIEW

N/All-Measurex implemented a large process control application created with <%=company%>' LabVIEW graphical software and data acquisition (DAQ) hardware, as well as standard Windows NT to develop the MXProLine. Honeywell-Measurex created the MXProLine for continuous flat-sheet production measurement applications. It is a measurement and control system suited for processes such as sheet/film extrusion, extrusion coating, biaxially oriented films, vinyl calendering, nonwovens, and rubber calendering. The application runs on a 128 MB Windows NT workstation with real-time database drivers. In addition, <%=company%> made a custom version of an AT bus multifunction DAQ board to run the system sensors. Honeywell-Measurex ships at least one board with every system.

<%=company%> LabVIEW handles the operator interface, access to the different databases, the measurement calculations, control functions, alarms, trending and analysis functions, and report generation; a total of more than 3,000 virtual instruments (VIs).
