HP Releases Network-Analyzer Electronic-Calibration

Hewlett-Packard Company is introducing the HP 85090 series RF modules that provide calibration for the popular HP 8753C/D/E network analyzers, for the first time extending the range of electronic calibration for these instruments below 1GHz. The HP 85097A PC interface with control software allows users to control the ECal modules from a PC during the calibration process.

The HP 85097A PC interface with control software provides two modes of module control: manual control, via the display softkeys of the network analyzer and automatic control, via a user's calibration program. Automatic control is particularly useful for manufacturing applications because it helps minimize operator error and ensure consistency. The new interface works with the new HP 85090 series RF modules and with the existing HP 85060 series microwave modules. The software runs in Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 or later.

In addition to the new HP 85090 series of RF modules, the HP ECal product family includes the HP 85060 series of microwave modules, which calibrates from 1GHz to 26.5GHz for the HP 8719/20/22C/D and 8510B/C network analyzers. The HP 85060C control unit has been discontinued. U.S. PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
