IET Labs Purchases The 1865 Megohmmeter/IR Tester From QuadTech, Inc.
Maynard, MA - QuadTech, a leading provider of electrical safety test and passive component measurement solutions, recently announced the sale of the 1865 Megohmmeter Product Line to IET Labs. The 1865 Megohmmeter completes the GenRad lines IET Labs purchased from QuadTech in Dec 2000 and June 2006.
IET has expertise in both metrology and megohmmeters, and already has the capability and resources required to manufacture, calibrate, service and fully support this product.
IET is particularly pleased to add the 1865 because it boasts important, unique features and performance not found elsewhere. This includes:
- Program and Internal Data Storage, with RS-232 and IEEE-488 Interface
- Precision Measurements from 1 kO to 100 TO, with Basic Accuracy of 0.5% from 1-1000 VDC with Averaging for Increased Accuracy
- Direct Reading of Measured Resistance or Current
- Large LCD Display for Menu Programming of Test Results
- Fully Programmable Measured Cycle Times
- Approved for Boeing Aircraft

IET Labs also has the capabilities to perform 17025 Accredited Calibrations on these products.
IET will provide three free accredited calibrations for three years, and will extend its warranty to three years for orders placed by June 30, 2009.
The sale of the 1865 allows QuadTech to further focus on its core instruments. Over the past seventeen years, QuadTech has greatly expanded its product offerings to include hipot and ground bond testers, LCR meters, cable testers and most recently, power sources. These products will continue to be the main focus and core components of QuadTech's business as it moves into Electrical Safety Test Systems, which utilize its automation software.
