Impedance Measurement Tester for Coils and Wire Wound Devices
The 1910 provides over 27,000 user programmable test frequencies for inductance measurements up to 1MHz to fully characterize devices over a wide frequency range. Besides inductance (L) measurements, the 1910 also measures capacitance (C), AC resistance (R), dissipation factor (D), quality factor (Q), impedance (Z), phase angle and DC resistance (DCR). The DCR is important for measuring the winding resistance of coils to confirm the correct gauge wire, tension and that the proper connection was made during the manufacturing process. All these measurement parameters coupled with being able to run up to six different tests in sequence, makes for fast, single pass production testing without the need for reprogramming.
The units internal DC bias current source of 0 to 1 Amp allows components to be tested under real operating conditions. The internal bias can be extended to 100 Amps when the 1910 is used in conjunction with the company's Model 1320 Bias Current Source and slave units. Additionally, the unit can display the current through or voltage across the test device.
