The TempTestr is an infrared thermometer priced under $100 (pricing at time of publication). Users point at a surface and push a button and the IR returns the temperature in °F or C on an LCD screen. It has a temperature range from 0 to 500°F (-18 to 260°C) and an accuracy and repeatability of ±2%. The IR is appropriate for a variety of temperature measurement jobs in industrial and electrical maintenance, heating and air conditioning installations, and safety. A laser-sighting model emits a bright red laser spot for easy verification of the measurement location.
