InTouch for DARWIN (Data Acquisition and Recording WINdows)

N/Aany%> has released a free CD-ROM demonstration of its InTouch for DARWIN (Data Acquisition and Recording WINdows) data acquisition and process monitoring software. The software, jointly developed by Yokogawa and Wonderware, features a version of Wonderware's popular In Touch data display software designed specifically to work with Yokogawa's DARWIN product line. The DARWIN product line features the DA100 data acquisition terminal and the DR240 series of hybrid multipoint recorders. The DA100 is a versatile front end that collects critical process information, such as pressure, flow temperature, and transfers that data every half-second to a personal computer or other host devices via a variety of communications protocols. Miniaturization techniques have allowed Yokogawa to reduce the depth of DR240 recorders by half while increasing input capacity.

InTouch software, which features standard display screens, eliminates the need for users to develop their own display interfaces or integrate existing packages. The software features real-time trend data logging, automatic database creating, auto-grouping by tag number, overview screens, group and channel faceplates, and alarm screens.
