Legacy Test Programs

The TPS (Test Program Set) Recycler service is used for converting existing test programs to operate on new test systems. Part of the TOP TEST tool suite, the TPS Recycler provides the means to transform existing test programs to new versions of ATLAS, or to modern COTS programming environments, such as National Instruments' LabWindows/CVI. The tool also supports conversion of legacy code to the newly defined Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI) drivers.

The TPS Recycler provides multilingual support capability, and can be customized to meet the end user needs. It provides the capability to model both legacy and target Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) languages, and create translation relationships between them upon which the TPS code conversion is based. The TPS Recycler allows the user to retain their test program investment when migrating from legacy testers to new test systems.
