LTX-Credence Announces New High Precision Data Converter Test Module (DCTM) For X-Series Test Platform

DCTM in Use for Production Testing of Data Converters, Audio Amplifiers and Temperature Sensors

Milpitas, CA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LTX-Credence Corporation (Nasdaq:LTXC), a provider of innovative semiconductor ATE solutions, today announced a new multi-channel, high precision AC and DC instrument for the X-Series test platform. Each Data Converter Test Module (DCTM) contains 16 independent differential channels for high volume testing of precision analog devices. This level of integration delivers unprecedented capability for multi-site testing of devices in automated test equipment (ATE). DCTM's precision capability and instrument density lowers engineering expense, dramatically reduces test costs, and enhances product yields. In addition to data converters, the DCTM supports the testing of other high performance devices including audio amplifiers, temperature sensors and linear devices for both static and dynamic test.

"Two major, high performance mixed signal device manufacturers have already purchased and deployed DCTM into production, validating our mission to deliver the best value to our customers through engineering innovation. Capable of testing very high resolution data converters to better than 1 part per million, the DCTM is a precision instrument which required advanced engineering and while performance is key, our customers still seek solutions providing the lowest cost of test. Developed by some of the top engineering talent in our industry the DCTM delivers on both accounts and represents market leading capabilities," said Bruce MacDonald, vice president of marketing at LTX-Credence.
