LTX-Credence Announces The Selection Of Its PAx Tester As ANADIGICS' Preferred Test Platform
ANADIGICS Will Use the PAx for Both Cellular and WiFi Power Amplifiers
Norwood, MA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LTX-Credence Corporation (Nasdaq:LTXC), a global provider of market focused, cost-optimized semiconductor test solutions, today announced that ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq:ANAD) has chosen the LTX-Credence PAx tester as its preferred test platform for its power amplifier (PA) cellular and WiFi device testing, including WCDMA and LTE technologies. ANADIGICS will use the PAx to develop new product test solutions and subcontract volume production to outsource assembly and test providers (OSATs) in Asia.
ANADIGICS selected the PAx based on three key criteria: industry leading RF test technology, low infrastructure cost that can deliver the overall lowest cost of test in a high volume production environment, and availability at OSATs.
Mike Raneri, director of product and test engineering at ANADIGICS, commented, "We have been using the LTX-Credence X-Series for testing RF front-end devices for several years now. When evaluating the competitive options, we saw in the PAx a system that continued to deliver industry leading technical capability for testing RF PAs, but in a footprint that further lowers our test cost. Transitioning to the PAx was an easy decision."
Steve Wigley, vice president of marketing at LTX-Credence, commented, "RF front end devices present some of the toughest RF test challenges, and solving them are one of the core competencies of the Company. As the market leader for RF PA device testing we are always seeking to remain far ahead of the competition by using innovative technology to both enhance performance and continuously drive down the cost of testing. The PAx, introduced earlier this year, has seen a strong adoption rate with leading RF front end companies like ANADIGICS, strengthening our position as the dominant supplier of commercial ATE solutions to this market segment."
