Schaevitz Sensors from Lucas Control Systems has introduced a new LVIT (linear variable transducer) for OEM applications where space is limited. The new LVIT-Z has infinite resolution and can be configured for a variety of linear measurement applications. Featuring a proprietary design based on chemically etched planar coil technology, the LVIT-Z offers accuracy of better than + 0.5 percent non-linearity over the full stroke and is extremely fault tolerant. The unit's patented differential operation assures high rejection of any common mode error, providing high accuracy to the unit even in harsh environments.
