Metro Tel Signs with Wavetek Wandel & Goltermann

Metro Tel Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Wavetek Wandel & Goltermann, subject to the signing of a definitive contract, whereby Metro Tel will make a further development of its Caller ID test set to operate as a measurement module for the "WG Commander'' Multi-Technology Test Set of Wavetek Wandel & Goltermann. Development is to begin immediately and is expected to be completed by May 15, 1999, with production following thereafter.

The Caller ID functionality plus other line testing features that Metro Tel will develop will help telephone technicians test local and long distance telephone lines. WG Commander replaces multiple testers with one test set that offers a range of measurement modules from dc-to-light.

Wavetek Wandel & Goltermann provides communications test solutions, designs, manufactures and markets test and measuring instruments for telecommunications, cable television, wireless communications and enterprise networks markets.

Metro Tel Corp., who recently acquired Steiner-Atlantic Corp., is a manufacturer of telephone test equipment and peripheral telephone products.
