MiCOM Approved In Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, And Singapore For Wireless Compliance Testing
The CAB designations were awarded MiCOM Labs by the designation authority of each country under Phase I of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement (APEC Tel MRA). By streamlining communications product acceptance procedures among member countries, the APEC Tel MRA advances World Trade Organization initiatives to facilitate trade among nations.
"With CAB designations from each of these APEC member economies, MiCOM Labs is delivering uniquely global testing and certification capabilities to our clients," said Gordon Hurst, MiCOM Labs President and CEO. "Our ability to conduct product testing in our facility, rather than sending products and engineering personnel for in-country testing in these regions, is a tremendous saving of both time and money for clients who want to launch products in global markets."
Receipt of CAB designation indicates that MiCOM Labs has demonstrated accurate standards of test and measurement that are traceable to international standards; proper calibration of testing equipment and instruments; and technical competence for implementing and interpreting results from appropriate tests and procedures. The APEC Tel MRA CAB designations authorize MiCOM Labs to test various telecommunications, wireless access, RFID and similar products for compliance with HKTA standards in Hong Kong; RRL standards in Korea; IDA standards in Singapore; and BSMI and DGT standards in Taiwan. The CAB designations augment existing MiCOM Labs testing capabilities for the U.S., Canada, the European Union, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
