Test Software & Machine Interface for Electromechanical Test Machines
MTest controls and collects test data from tensile test machines (electromechanical & electrohydraulic - e.g. Satec and Tinius Olsen). It consists of a 32-bit Windows Application Program and an external interface that handles virtually all load frames regardless of age, manufacturer or application. The base configuration consists of load, crosshead position and axial strain input channels with options for a transverse strain channel and servocontrol. Our price/performance is unsurpassed in the industry and is ideal for a wide variety of testing applications:
- Quality Control
- Research
- Product Development
- Product Evaluation
- Bend Testing
- Tensile Testing
- Compression Testing
- Peel Testing
- Friction Testing
MTest can be installed on servo equipped testing machines and features monotonic, cyclic and segmented profiles under load, position or strain control. Also included is a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) Control algorithm with software selectable modes that can be changed on the fly. These features allow you to specify a method for all of your testing needs.
Mtest features include
- Ease of Use with a focus on simplification.
- High Resolution & Accuracy measurements.
- The capability of performing all common mechanical tests without added software modules.
- The ability to create your own test methods.
- Save and recall test methods for simple, accurate and repeatable testing.
- Password protected supervisor/operator modes. Test methods can be activated then locked under password.
- Calculation of key test parameters such as Peak Load/Stress, Offset Yield, Modulus of Elasticity and more.
- Calculation of high, low, mean and standard deviation for a group of tests.
- Hardcopy printouts of single test reports, group test reports and X-Y plots.
- Storage of test data and results to hard disk in ASCII delimited format for easy import into common spreadsheet and database programs.
- Up to five user-definable test information fields and a custom report/plot header to meet a variety of testing and reporting requirements.
- User selectable English, Metric and SI units.
- Up to three log rates per test to capture only necessary data.
- Real-time plotting of test data.
- Closed loop servo control with PID compensation. Includes monotonic, cyclic and segmented control profiles with software selectable control channels which can be changed in real time.
- Large easy-to-read numeric displays that show live, peak and rate readings.
- Up to three analog input channels to measure load, axial and transverse strain. Load accuracy exceeds ASTM E-4 Standards.
- One encoder input channel to measure crosshead position.
- Up to five calibration tables per analog channel for multiple load cell and extensometer requirements.
- Up to 10 calibration points per transducer with piecewise linear fit between points for maximum accuracy. All calibrations are password protected and can be saved to disk.
- Windows environment provides seamless access to many spreadsheet programs; saving and recalling of test data over a network; and use of virtually any printer.
