Mutlichannel CDMA Capability

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has added a multichannel CDMA capability and a dual-arbitrary waveform generator capability to its line of digital signal generators. The CDMA capability provides base station and handset designers with the ability to test devices under real-word conditions. Up to 256 Walsh-coded channels can be generated to qualify components. The CDMA capability is compatible with existing TDMA personalities. As a result, HP can provide one instrument that tests both of these air interface standards. The new options are currently available for HP's ESG-D line of signal generators which offer frequency ranges of 250 kHz to 1 GHz, 250 kHz to 2 GHz, 250 kHz to 3 GHz, or 250 kHz to 4 GHz.
