National Instruments Acquires DATALOG GmbH/DASYtec GmbH

N/Al Instruments Germany GmbH has acquired DATALOG GmbH/DASYtec GmbH (Moenchengladbach, Germany), and related subsidiaries. The acquisition resolves issues related to DASYLab infringement on <%=company%> LabVIEW patents. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

DATALOG/DASYtec is the developer of DASYLab, a rapid development environment for data acquisition applications. DATALOG and DASYtec will be consolidated into DATALOG, a subsidiary of National Instruments, GmbH. DATALOG and DASYtec employees will continue their current employment. Herbert Wolters, president of DATALOG, will remain as president (Geschaftsfuehrer) of the newly combined subsidiary. N/Al Instruments plans to add DASYLab software to its portfolio of software products for measurement and automation applications. DATALOG will continue to develop and sell DASYLab software as well as provide technical support to existing and future DASYLab users. N/Al Instruments holds more than 20 patents worldwide on LabVIEW features such as graphical programming structure nodes and VI hierarchy.
