National Instruments BridgeVIEW becomes OPC server

National Instruments announced another version of BridgeVIEW that adds connectivity, improved application development, and greater ease-of-use. BridgeVIEW is the industrial automation version of National Instruments LabVIEW, a graphical programming environment for scientists and engineers.

The features in BridgeVIEW 2.1 help implement industry-standard connectivity tools such as OPC and the Internet. As an OPC server, the product enhances configuration and communications with other third-party systems using the OPC standard. Developers can gather, distribute, and analyze information from high-speed data acquisition applications such as vibration analysis and machine condition monitoring..

The product features Internet tools to publish front panels or customized pages to the Web. User interface enhancements include front panel objects that automatically scale when a user re-sizes a window or when an application runs under different screen resolutions.
