Northcon/98 in Seattle Next Week

Pacific Northwest high-tech professionals will find a wide selection of new component technologies at Northcon/98. More than 250 exhibits will showcase new products ranging from semiconductors, passive components, design automation tools, and engineering software, to test and measurement instrumentation, production materials and contract manufacturing services. Northcon/98 also will display two innovative, new electric vehicles.

Wireless communications is the theme of the Northcon/98 technical conference. The conference includes presentations by communications technology experts from companies such as Boeing, Motorola and Lucent Technologies. Also explored are new trends involving design, quality and reliability, manufacturing, and embedded systems.

A separate business conference series will address today's contract manufacturing role, venture capital and financing techniques, as well as important patent issues. The show dates are: Wednesday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 23. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
