Open Interface

The E7216A database software and the E7217A Component Object Model interface enable open access for the 5DX series of automated X-ray inspection systems. The software helps manufacturers construct their own quality process software solution. This solution can range from spreadsheet applications providing various statistical process-control views to more elaborate enterprise-wide quality-control systems. The software packages its real-time 5DX results in an Access database format. The COM interface enables vendors to provide process software solutions to electronics manufacturers. It provides programmatic access to the 5DX's defect and measurement data through a Microsoft COM interface. Using this interface, vendors can select the specific data they wish to access.
