Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments is offering its handheld optical power multi meter which integrates an optical source and optical power meter into one device. It utilizes an internal microprocessor and linearity magnification technology to ensure long term calibration and test accuracy. The portable multi-meter is well-suited for construction and maintenance of fiber communications and CATV systems.

This handheld optical power multi meter, model C0260001, conducts absolute and relative power tests, optical loss tests for fiber optic cable and passive optical devices. It also performs loop tests and two-way automatic testing. The laser source module operates at dual wavelengths of 1310 nm ± 20 nm and 1550 nm ± 20 nm while the optical power meter module works at a wavelength range from 800 to 1600 nm and can automatically identify frequencies including 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz.

This optical power multi meter features multi wavelength precise measurement, simple button operation, real-time clock function, single ended dual wavelength output, low voltage warning, auto power off and energy-save design. It has a large memory capacity which can store up to 200 groups test data. Multi adapters are available for all common connector types including FC, SC, ST, and LC.

This handheld optical power multi meter belongs to GAO's family of Power Meters. This line includes a wide variety of power meters such as Fiber Optic Multimeter which is widely used in maintenance in telecommunication, CATV and in fiber optic lab testing, Handheld Optical Power Meter which offers a quick and accurate testing solution for both single and multi-mode fibers.
