Orbotech Receives Major Order From Nanya Printed Circuit Board

Orbotech Ltd. (Yavne, Israel) has won an order from Nanya Printed Circuit Board Corporation, totaling approximately $4.17 million for multiple InSpire-9060 Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems to be utilized at the company's new printed circuit board (PCB) production plant in Taoyuan, Taiwan.

Commenting on the order, Mr. Otto Chang, President of Nanya said, "We conducted an extensive evaluation of Orbotech's AOI solutions for use in our new, modern production facility that will specialize in HDI technology. We determined that Orbotech's latest generation InSpire-9000 AOI series is able to deliver the high performance automation and defect detection capabilities necessary to meet our quality, volume, and cost goals."

Asher Levy, Managing Director of Orbotech Pacific Ltd., added, "The first controlled installation of the InSpire-9000 Series in the Pacific region was conducted at Nanya. Their decision to purchase multiple systems, after comprehensive on-site testing and in-depth analysis of other available solutions on the market, is a strong indicator of the positive impact that can be expected from this new product line.''
