and Data Files Available For Downloading at www.orcad.com

OrCAD(R) (Nasdaq:OCAD) today announced the immediate availability of OrCAD ViewReader(TM), a new utility that lets OrCAD Capture(R) and OrCAD Express(R) users easily convert Viewlogic's ViewDraw(R) data and libraries directly into OrCAD's format. OrCAD is the leading supplier of Windows(R) EDA software and services to electronics companies worldwide.

"Many OrCAD customers have used a mix of OrCAD and Viewlogic tools for FPGA, PCB system-level, and ASIC design," stated Jim Plymale, OrCAD's vice president of marketing. "As we've added more functionality to our product line, particularly in the areas of component information, simulation, and FPGA design, we're seeing increasing demand from our customers for a migration path from their legacy Viewlogic designs. We're now providing these customers with an easy way to standardize their design environments on OrCAD's software and Interchange Architecture. They also benefit from having a single point of contact for products, services, training, and support."

"OrCAD made it extremely easy for us to migrate from Viewlogic to the OrCAD design environment," stated Ken Landaiche, senior design engineer at Nokia Communications. "OrCAD's conversion process doesn't involve cumbersome EDIF translation, and the translators can be downloaded from the Internet for free. The benefits are obvious."

According to Chuck White, sensor test engineering manager at Nellcor Oximetry, Mallinckrodt Inc., a worldwide medical products supplier, "OrCAD's tools have helped us do our jobs more efficiently, saving Mallinckrodt time and money. We were pleased to have a painless way to transfer our Viewlogic libraries and designs to the OrCAD environment, and also appreciate the technical support we received from OrCAD."
