GenRad, Inc.lps Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturers solve the problem of testing PCBs without building test fixtures or mechanical adapters. It is suited for testing prototypes, samples, and small runs of SMT technology boards with limited access. The system utilizes four independent test probes that simultaneously apply the stimuli and perform the measurements needed to fully test the PCB. In addition, test points can be applied on the underside of the unit under test (UUT) in the form of positionable magnetic test probes, which can also be used to power the UUT in order to test active components and to increase test coverage.
