SOTAS, Inc.any%> Performance Information Management System (PIMS) transforms Sotas TQMS-III telephony test unit into a fully automated geographically disperse telephony test system. PIMS provides centralized automation, management and control, delivering the information and reports needed. PIMS takes on the role of central administrative management, control, and data acquisition for a number of remote TQMS-III devices. PIMS operates on a SUN Sparc workstation platform that is scalable to meet data acquisition and processing needs. PIMS will download the test schedules to any number of remote TQMS-IIIs. As the TQMS-IIIs perform tests independently of PIMS, PIMS will periodically or on-demand retrieve the test results and populates a SUN resident INFORMIX database, making TQMS measurement results locally available for alarms and reports.

Remote clients are supported through the application of Business Objects client software. Standard and user-defined reports are supported. Any number of remote clients are supported, making network performance results available to any department or division under password restriction. Features include SUN Sparc-based administration platform, INFORMIX-based database, hands free automated test deployment, result acquisition and report generation for any number of remote TQMS-III devices, and support for business objects client interface for report generation, archival, and retrieval.
