Philips Electronics Selects Mentor Graphics Library Data
Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands has engaged Mentor Graphics' Custom Parts Services to provide library data for their worldwide organization. The library data will match Philips' Golden One LMS Library Specification.
Mentor Graphics' Custom Parts Services (CPS) team in Singapore will initially deliver approximately 4,250 digital, analog and mixed signal library parts. The library parts will support Philips' complete front-to-back electronic design processes. Philips will use the library data for their schematic capture, functional simulation and circuit board layout.
Quality of the library data is achieved by the Mentor Graphics CPS registration process which ensures that the library generation environment is programmed according to Philips' One LMS Library Specification. During the registration process, the Philips' library specification was refined by Mentor Graphics' library specialists. Based on the Philips requirements, the configuration of the part development environment was programmed into various tools including Mentor Graphics' Part Development System (PDS) product, which will play an important Quality Assurance role.
